About my PFP…
Nice to meet you.
My PFP (profile picture) is v1 cryptopunks.
Let me tell you how I got here, i.e., my NFT history.
I started to touch NFT around April 2021, I think.
Cryptopunks and BAYC were getting very expensive, and I think it was right around the time that cloneX and moonbirds were coming out.
At that time, I had just started to touch cryptocurrency, and all of them were very expensive and unaffordable, but I had the impression that there was an amazing world out there.
Later, NFTs on internet computers (ICP) started to appear, and I liked ICP a lot, so I worked hard and owned many NFTs (at high prices). Also, an NFT project involving influencers called CNP started in Japan, and during the Mint Festival, I got a few in secondary distribution, which I now miss. I then sold it for about 10x and used it to buy more STEPN during the crash, I also enjoyed STEPN a lot and got into E country quite a bit and got hit financially.
I bought my preferred NFT near the floor for just over 3 ETH, as I liked cloneX very much in terms of design, and it became affordable as the NFT winterized. At that time, though, I was ready to be a gutshot for the rest of my life.
I continued to touch cryptocurrencies across various chains, but NFT went downhill disappointingly.
Since cloneX had dropped to about 1/10th of its value, I decided that I would prefer murakami drip and rarer ones anyway, so I sold the NFT I originally owned and bought Demonz & murakami drip NFT. At that time, I was learning about murakami takashi again, and even started to buy murakami flowers and trading cards.
I was determined to own it for the rest of my life, but then I was informed that RTFKT would be terminated. I still did not sell it, but my feelings were shaken.
I looked around again and found that NFTs such as AZUKI and DOODLES, which had the same value as cloneX in the past, still have a high value (compared to cloneX). I bought AZUKI because I thought AZUKI looked good, and I also bought elemental and BEANZ because I liked their designs. But still, as expected of NFT, the floor price upset my feelings. I decided to participate in Blur season 4 and started to trade.
I had received airdrops by selling and buying only cloneX in BLUR season 3, but I accumulated more points than I had in that season. I was in the process of getting into DOODLES, but I bought it just in time for the DOOD airdrop and it crashed. 60-70% crash in 1 day. It’s hard. What the heck, I made another trade and earned points.
Yes, it finally arrived, cryptopunks.
More details will follow in due time.
As for the official v2, I still can’t get my hands on it, but v1.
Since I don’t particularly like any of them, I decided to get them on offer.
Fortunately, I was able to get a good v1 punk, so I went straight to PFP.
Even though v1 cryptopunks are different from the official v2, I personally feel that this one is more ORIGINAL.
It is also true that v1 is the one after it is wrapped, but v2 is also wrapped in blur, etc. After all, if both are wrapped, then v1 is still the original.
Conclusion:
Although it is self-satisfying, v1 cryptopunks with its unshakable story is a very valuable NFT, and even though it is not an official cryptopunks, the fact that it is original is an NFT that cannot be changed, and I will cherish it.
